Capacity Building Workshop on Climate Finance & Policy Alignment

Green Protocol Nigeria invited public and private stakeholders to a 3-day free, high-impact virtual capacity-building workshop on Climate Finance Policy Alignment with Nigeria's Energy Transition Agenda.

The workshop was designed to strengthen the institutional readiness of key ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) to access and deploy climate finance effectively, align sectoral policies with national climate goals, and build stakeholders' capacity to operationalise Nigeria's Just Energy Transition Plan (JETP) and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).

Running daily from 10am to 12 noon over three days, the sessions gave public and private participants a structured, practical grounding in how climate finance mechanisms actually work — and how their institutions can position themselves to use them.
