The Water-Energy-Food Resilience Compact
A Green Protocol presentation at the Nigerian Pavilion, COP31: scaling climate-smart irrigation, community seed systems and renewable-energy agro-processing as one integrated approach to climate resilience for Nigeria's smallholder farmers.

Do you know that only about 1% of Nigeria's cropland is irrigated? For most smallholder farmers, one rainy season decides everything.
As drought, flooding and water stress intensify, we cannot keep treating water, energy and food as separate problems. Irrigation alone is not automatically climate-smart. It needs sound water planning, renewable energy, resilient seed systems and the finance to make it work.
Join us at COP31 as we explore the Water-Energy-Food Resilience Compact: an integrated approach to scaling:
- Climate-smart irrigation
- Community seed systems
- Renewable-energy agro-processing
