Supporting Nigeria's Energy Transition Through Integration and Strategic Communication
Supporting the timely implementation of the Nigerian Climate Change Act through energy transition integration, technical research, and strategic communication.

The Challenge
Nigeria's Climate Change Act requires coordinated, cross-sectoral implementation, but the science and mitigation pathways for energy transition are complex and span multiple sectors and individual-level decisions, from grid integration to transport electrification to public understanding.
Our Approach
Green Protocol supported the National Council on Climate Change (NCCC) through several integrated work streams: technical studies on net metering to enable integration of on-site solar generation with the national grid; research on the electrification of two- and three-wheeled vehicles in Nigeria; and digital presence and media support to help translate complex climate science into public understanding.
The Outcome
The work directly supported the NCCC's mandate to implement the Climate Change Act, producing technical groundwork (net metering studies, electric mobility research) alongside communications support to build broader public engagement with Nigeria's energy transition.
