A virtual session to validate findings and shape practical recommendations for renewable energy in Nigeria's industrial clusters.

Friday, 9 October 2026 · 10:00am to 12:00pm WAT Virtual
Stakeholder Validation Session on Regulatory Coherence for Green Industrial Power in Nigeria

Green Protocol Nigeria invites public and private stakeholders to a one-day virtual session on the Regulatory Coherence Framework for Green Industrial Power in Nigeria.

The study to be validated assessed how existing policy, regulatory and institutional arrangements support or constrain the deployment of clean, reliable and affordable power for industrial clusters, manufacturing zones and economic corridors.

The Session is designed to:

  • Validate emerging findings from the national policy and regulatory mapping and the assessment of selected states
  • Surface implementation constraints that are not visible in the formal framework
  • Test the practicality of high-level recommendations on embedded generation, captive power, industrial mini-grids, wheeling, incentives and institutional coordination
  • Inform the Regulatory Coherence Framework before it is finalised

The session will run from 10:00am to 12:00pm WAT on Friday, 9 October 2026. It will give participants a structured reading of the draft findings and a working discussion on what needs to change for renewable energy to serve industrial clusters at scale.

Who should join: federal and state ministries responsible for power, industry, environment, finance and investment; federal and state electricity regulators and investment agencies; distribution companies; industrial park and Special Economic Zone operators; manufacturers and cluster associations; renewable energy and distributed-power developers; development and commercial financiers; energy and industrial experts and enthusiasts; and civil society organisations.
